Why?

Well

Here goes again.

Today, i am just going to ask a series of questions. maybe someone will know the answer, i dont.
and i mean the real deep down answer. the one that explains the how this is, the one from which the question derives. Not the one that is the surface answer. i want the answer that you cant ask "why?" to anymore.

Why Are movie stars famous?
Why are teachers and service-people not?

Why are the most qualified and intelligent people in America not paid in concordance with their skills?

Why is Beauty and Strength more important than the ability to think of new ways?

that is really it today. but remember what sets us apart from the monkey's yeah? (not the 70's fake pop group)

we are who we are because at one point, we thought about how to make a tool to make our work easier.

now our tool has to be shiny! and pretty! the workability of it is gone.

WE HAVE FALLEN INTO DECLINE!!

just like the Romans before us.
unlike them though, we can see it if we choose to. we can learn from history, if we only read it.
WE CAN SAVE OURSELVES!

we have to start questioning and valuing life, and intelligence and hard work.

that is why i WILL NOT VOTE DEMOCRAT!!
there are of course a myriad of reasons for and against, and long complicated post's and discussions and video clips.

i go with the simple obvious one that few ppl seem to mention. for all the rhetoric, for all the charisma, for all the hype,

HE HASNT ACTUALLY SAID ANYTHING OF SUBSTANCE!!!

vague wishes and assurances and promises. blaming one man for the actions of many. ( i speak of the congress who shot down ANYTHING from our president when he tried to circumvent current problems, oh yeah, CONGRESS HAS HALF THE APPROVAL OF THE PRESIDENT!)

tell me how. tell me why. make me believe that it will be the right thing. that it will get better. show me the logical steps one can make from point a to b that shows me the results you spout.

only then will i even listen. until then, i label you the ANTICHRIST!

i am not religious btw. just saying to look and some of his globalazation talks and hise almost meteoric rise to power so quickly. his charm and his personality then look at the book where it talks about that kind of thing. see the simalarities

pay in line with performance

This is my first time, so i might bleed a little.

I think the only way we can start to get people in our government to do anything besides stuff OUR MONEY into THEIR POCKETS while telling us we are broke is to start paying them in proportion to their level of performance.

WHOA!!!! i know, right?

Pay People for the Work that they Do?
"it will never work!!" you say. "why would someone give up free money?", you ask.

I say, because that is the only way we will vote them in!!!

OK.

Enough Foreplay. Time for the actual meat of my idea.

Politicians should get paid based on the AVERAGE AFTER TAX INCOME OF THEIR CONSTITUENTS, With a Minimum of poverty level, Based on a regular 40 hr week, like most of us have to work.

this does a few things.

Makes them try and raise the average income of their people by:
  • Bringing jobs to the people to erase all those "Zero's" on the income column. GOVERNMENT CHEESE DOES NOT COUNT!!!!
  • Provide a large incentive to SPEND MONEY FOR EDUCATION ON EDUCATION, because people who are educated, i am not even talking necessarily college here (though that also counts!!!) tend to make more than people who don't finish at least high school.
  • Eliminate political POWER GAPS by making our "elected" "leaders" more responsible to the majority of people they represent. **
  • NARROWS THE INCOME GAP between WEALTHY (about 5%) and NOT (the rest).
  • INCENTIVE TO LOWER TAXES.
  • MAKES THEM SHOW UP TO WORK!!!
Now, for why these things are good for us, not just them.

Jobs=
The ability to provide for and take care of your family, legally.
this could lead to a new house, a new car, food on the table, and SELF RESPECT! so be warned.
I chose to omit, welfare and other state sponsored programs from the tally, not to disparage, but to motivate people. Welfare and State Support are supposed to be a TEMPORARY solution, not a handout.

Education=
the ability to get a better job.
this could lead to a new outlook on life as you begin to question your surroundings and want answers.

"Elected" "Leaders"=
This one is hard to see at first, but, a MAJORITY of decisions that affect us all are made by a very few, very wealthy people putting pressure on the "leader" by promising or withholding "CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS". This in turn, determines who will actually be available for the people to actually VOTE for. By Giving an incentive in direct pay to look out for everyone, not just the top 5%, we can hope to mitigate some of the decisions we don't even get to see.

Narrower Income Gap=
Most of the Violence and Hate and Discrimination in the WORLD stem from a LARGE INCOME GAP between those who have, and those who have not.

You might say, "NOT TRUE!!! Religion, Political Affiliation, and Lack of respect for people, that is what Really Drives Violence!!."
And I Agree, but look a little bit deeper, and you will see that the "leaders" of those opposing groups are trying to appeal to a certain group of people, that Have or Have NOT.

By Narrowing this Gap, we once again take away fanatic power by placing people on a more equal footing to start.

Lower Taxes=

By lower money that gets taken off the top, we have more to spend. And i Like Money.

Show Up To Work
=
Pretty self explanatory i hope. Considering how many vacation days, and days not voting Congress and Senate have decided to use instead of thinking of a way to avoid this HUGE F'N MESS BOTH PARTIES PUT US IN

Also, This makes our "Elected""Leaders" want us to make more money, so that they can get paid more.
this appeals to the greed in them, while also doing good for us.

There are A LOT more reasons this might improve things other than those i have listed. i listed those because they were the most obvious. there are many subtle repercussions throughout the ENTIRE GOVERNMENT and the way it does business.

it kinda hurt at first, but started to feel better the longer it went.

oh yeah, disagree with me, tell me how it will not work.
this is just a rough draft.
and remember, At Least i am trying to find a solution

Do you have faith in our government?
